i used to think the same. then i got a black maglite torch. which i dropped in the dark while it was stitched off. :-) since then i avoid black hardware. i may never have to search for a laptop in the dark but i can spot the white eee on the floor at night withour stepping on it.

Heh... I'm just saying, did you really think the 900 wouldn't be available in black? Then why is everyone jumping up and down when they see a picture of a unit that looks identical to all the other models... but in white?
