Should be interesting to see the timing of this release. MSI seems to have really shot themselves in the foot with the Wind delay.

Don't know about that. The Wind is still cost competitive with the Dell, given the large hard drive and display. And we don't know yet if one can actually touch type on the Dell, the way you cannot on the Eee 700, 900 and 901.

Also, 4 GB means this thing can hold XP, plus a few software titles and that's it. It can't double as an iPod, in other words.

OTOH, the Dell has the Dell badge on it.

So I guess we'll see. I personally am going to jump on the 6-cell Wind like a monkey on a peanut-butter-and-nanner sammich.

From the original leaked specs sheet, think the US$299 model (Dell E Classic) was not going to have a camera.

If this does have a camera, then essentially its the Acer Aspire One, less 4Gb for US$100 cheaper

The Dell E Video (just one step up from the Classic) FTW!

This is definitely the one I've been waiting for... hopefully it'll be available with a 6-cell battery. I'll probably get either the E Video or the Aspire One depending on which is the first to ship with a 6-cell.

I can't help but wonder if that magical price point will inflate like the EEE, OLPC, etc.
